FINAL REFLECTION
I will be honest, I’m not quite sure what ‘explaining what knowledge was remade through the unit”, but I will do my best to answer
the prompt.

For part one, the majority of my work was the result of classwork. I took those first drafts and used those as my in class artifacts
and then revised them and turned them into more eloquent and finalized second drafts. I did not do too much work outside of class and I feel that this allowed for my initial thoughts to speak for themselves. I knew that if I thought about it too much, I would want to fabricate my most interesting story as to ‘where I am from’. I feel as though the small moments that I often forget about are what really contributed to making me who I am today, and I tried my best to capture those moments.

For part two, I had initially started my community as my room. I had not really made friends or gotten out and off campus too
much. This, however, changed around mid February when I began to go to church and socialize with my coworkers and classmates. It was then that I changed my community from my room and my roommates to my church. I don’t know too many people, but the ones I have met have truly made me feel welcome and that is something that I wanted to extend to others here at TCU. I would say that part two is the one that I put the most thought into. Initially, I didn’t want to even think about depressing my answer to the question ‘what is my current community’ was. It was only after I began to think about my final campaign and how I had no idea what I was going to do that I went back and reevaluated everything.

Going back and completely redoing my ‘where I am’ was what eventually led to my part three and my final campaign. I knew
that what I wanted to share as part of my final campaign was the community that I had found at Doxology Bible Church. However as the semester progressed, I became aware of certain aspects of the church that were not ideal or inclusive. I want my community to be a space where everyone feels welcome and fully a part of it. This led me to interview two members of my community that I knew would have very different experiences. I took what they said into consideration and tried to incorporate those changes that they wanted to see into my final campaign.
